Midnight Sky Ball Gown
The Queen of the Night (Konigin der Nacht in German) is the primary antagonist in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s famous 1791 opera, Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).
In her first appearance, she is wearing ‘the midnight sky’ as her dress.
For us, the stars of the midnight skies are like white LEDs, and the sky is layers of black tulle!
In 2015, we turned the concept into a wearable design that is also wearable outside the theater.
The German Digital Minister Dorothee Baer loved the design so much that she debuted it at the German Computer Game Price in 2016.
